This was a helpful training with several calculators on AVIZA/InfoComM standards for PISCR Projected Image System Contrast Ratio, Display Image Size for 2D conten DISCAS and such. Or just convince your client to buy a shiny video wall – come on!
AV over IP Fundamentals by Aurora
AV converged with the IT department – yet another very familiar training. Nice product line too!
Audinate Designing Successful AV-over-IP Networks
This webinare was IT focused spending way too much time discussing how “air gap” networks don’t exist. It’s confirmation that all us AV people work with the same stuff day by day.
- Converged or standalone network design
- Network configuration needs
- Security considerations
- Hardware and software requirements
- Documenting for the future
- Interoperability with non-Dante devices
AVIXA Learning Tech Managers: Creating an Equitable Hybrid Learning Experience
Institutions must take this post pandemic reality as the impetus for recreating and redefining the value of higher education and to invest in strengthening tools for improved student success.
Join this November Power Hour to get answers to these questions:
- Discuss experiences with the design of learning space technology.
- Explore how to support an equitable experience for both physical and remote students to achieve an optimal level of learning.
- Consider the planning and installation requirements necessary to improve student learning.
INOGENI Supercharge video meetings
Inogeni went over several of their product lines including the Toggle in this webinare. This is very helpful in situations where you want two computers sharing the same cameras, microphones and room audio. Zoom and Teams doesn’t like it when the camera feed is disrupted. These devices allow for uninterupted camera fees.

Conferencing & Collaboration PH: Meeting Equity in the Hybrid Workforce
Hybrid work has reversed the traditional meeting experience. Now some or all the critical meeting participants are likely to be virtual. Enabling seamless collaborating means taking steps to ensure that everyone has a similar meeting experience with equal opportunities to contribute and make an impact regardless of where they are joining their meeting from. In this webinar, the panel will discuss the innovative and clever use of technologies to deliver an inclusive and accessible meeting experience with the overall goal of meeting equity.
I didn’t pay much attention to the content on this one – multi-tasking. It was worth 1 RU for my CTS certificate.
AVIXA CTS-I Renewal
My CTS and CTS-I have been renewed as of Oct 31, 2023. I’m good for another three years in a professional AV career. Whew!
Networking Technology 2023
This is a thorough course on all things networking – worth 22 RU credits! It’s the second time I’ve completed this course with the first being in 2015. Infocomm allows retakes every two years since technology changes so frequently.
