AVIXIA Enterprise IT PH NETWORK SECURITY

Enterprise IT PH: How to Get Kicked off a Corporate Network Without Even Trying

This AVIXA Enterprise IT Power Hour focused on common, real-world mistakes that cause well-intentioned AV and IT professionals to lose network access—often without realizing they violated corporate security policies.

Most network access violations are caused by convenience-driven decisions, not malicious intent.

Plugging in unapproved devices or bypassing onboarding processes is one of the fastest ways to get disconnected.

Using personal hotspots, unmanaged switches, or “temporary” workarounds often violates security policies.

AV systems are now enterprise IT endpoints and must follow the same rules as laptops and servers.

Lack of communication between AV teams and IT departments is a recurring root cause of problems.

Crestron Intelligent Video Design (IVC-D) In-Person Class Completed

I recently completed the Crestron Intelligent Video Design (IVC-D) in-person certification course, gaining comprehensive knowledge in professional AV video system design and implementation. The IVC product line was originally 1 Beyond which Crestron acquired in 2022.

This intensive training covered essential topics including:

  • Video signal formats and resolutions
  • Digital video transport technologies
  • Display technologies and selection criteria
  • Video processing and switching
  • Signal distribution and management
  • System integration best practices
  • Troubleshooting methodologies

The IVC-D certification demonstrates proficiency in designing intelligent video solutions that meet the demanding requirements of modern audiovisual installations. This training is particularly relevant for media ministry work, where reliable video systems are essential for worship services, streaming, and multi-site campus connections.

The hands-on nature of the in-person class provided valuable experience with Crestron’s video processing equipment and control systems, enhancing my ability to design and implement professional-grade AV solutions for ministry environments.

This entry was posted using AI. I used COMET browser (which is an AI tool of Perplexity). It was successful except uploading the image. So I stopped COMET and finished the publishing. After opening my WordPress blog to the dashboard, here are the instructions I gave:
On my wordpress blog, post how I completed the crestron Intelligent Video Design (IVC-D) in-person class. it should be published on Tuesday, Oct 14 classified under AV, media ministry. upload the Crestron IVC-D Soukup 10-25.png from my desktop. In summary, I could have done this myself a lot faster. But AI is getting much more useful and competent.
