The TesiraForte is a digital signal processor “DSP” that offers AEC among other features for audio. It’s installed after a mixer in live environments. But mostly this unit is used in room installations for teleconferencing.

I took this online course during the interview process with AVI-SPL. Whew! That was helpful.

InfoComm’s “Displayed Image Size for 2D Content: How Big is Big Enough?”

This webinar was completed on July 9, 2015. InfoComm changed their standards after this webinar so back to the starting board. This is typical in the AV Industry – everything is constantly being reinvented.

A standard development task group is studying this very question to determine how big a displayed image should be, and the answer may surprise you. Their work is based on teachings from the 4-6-8 rule and more recent science and testing, as well as the viewing categories used in PISCR (the Projected Image System Contrast Ratio standard). Don’t know what those categories are? Come hear Greg Jeffreys update you on the latest findings of the group and what they still have to figure out!

Learning Objectives:

Learn the science behind determining displayed image-size requirements
Understand the difference between analytical viewing and basic decision-making viewing
Apply the visual acuity factor to formulas for determining proper displayed image size
