We got ready early.
It doesn’t happen often: I got ready early. Sometimes I’m ready with 5 minutes to spare, but Sunday, we were all ready by 8:05 a full hour before we had to leave. So I decided to fix my hair a little different and put on some extra makeup. While I was doing this, Alexis announced that she was hot. She began tearing off her shearling boots and socks.
Me: No, no, don’t do that. you have to have your socks on so we can go to church.
Alexis: I’m hot. my feet are ‘mokin’.
‘mokin’ is Smoking.
